From: Department of Environment Food and Agriculture To: Cc: Subject: FoI request, The Report DEFA Sea Dumping (ref: 2061557) Date: 07 December 2021 12:15:12 Information request Our reference: 2061557 Dear Freedom of Information Act 2015 We write further to your request which was received on 1st November 2021 and which states: "There has been press coverage in a recent employment tribunal, where a report into sea silt dumping in Peel has been undertaken by and this report was delivered to the Chief Secretary of he Isle of Man Government Mr Will Greenhow in 2019. This report has been with held from the isle of Man public , despite being of public interest and it is in the public domain that this report has been commissioned and does exist. The Isle of Man is apparently an open and transparent island, therefore i ask for the Roberts Report to be released and supplied under this FOI request. I also ask for all emails , letters and documents relating to the Roberts report to be supplied especially all correspondence between the Chief secretary and any or others relating to the claims regarding pollution and sea dumping of silt at peel marina. I also request all correspondence between DOI and DEFA regarding dumping of silt where concentrations were well in excess of international standards or a risk to public health at peel marina. I also ask for the correspondence where an allegation that a civil servant had deliberately sanctioned pollution of controlled waters at peel marina be supplied under this foi. I also ask for all emails from formerly of DEFA to DOI concerning silt pollution in Peel Marina both to and from DEFA and DOI. " You narrowed down your search with the email below on the 2nd of November 2021: "To narrow the foi down . Please supply all correspondence from to DEFA or others that relate to silt dumping in Peel . This will narrow the search down as requested." We subsequently wrote to you on 5th November 2021 requesting you to narrow down the timeframe of your request. "Could I please ask you to narrow your request further by specifying a strict timeframe - ideally a 3-6 month period defined by dates". Unfortunately, you have not as yet provided the clarification requested. Therefore we are unable to proceed further with your request at this time. If you wish to submit a new request which more clearly describes the information you are looking for, we will be able to consider your request and respond accordingly.
