Dear ###

We write further to your request which was received on 28th October 2021 and which states:

"Covid-19 vaccinations in the Isle of Man use the MHRA yellow card reporting scheme. Please can you provide the information provided from MHRA to Manx Care in relation to adverse events recorded for any covid-19 vaccinations in the Isle of Man. Please can you send any reports completed or received in relation to adverse events as part of you on going oversight of the vaccination roll out. Please can you provide further details of the adverse events recorded in the Isle of Man preferably by age and condition reported. Please can you provide any reports completed or follow ups to adverse events recorded in the Isle of Man. Please can you confirm if any deaths have been reported to the MHRA yellow card scheme for any covid-19 vaccine in the isle of man. Thank you"

Our Response While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance Manx Care is unable to provide the information that you have requested. This is in line with Section 11(3)a of the Act, as a practical refusal reason applies; namely we do not hold or cannot, after taking reasonable steps to do so, find the information that you have requested.

The Isle of Man doesn’t have a separate reporting system here on the Island as our population is so small that we wouldn’t be able to glean any statistically significant information, which is why we use the UK’s Yellow Card scheme for this. The Channel Islands and other UK nations also feed into this for the same reason. We do not hold any separate information regarding the adverse effects, regarding age and condition and therefore cannot provide any reports. You may find the attached link help: Please click here for the Yellow Card link. Please quote the reference number 2057993 in any future communications.
