We write further to your request which was received on 22 October 2021 and which states:
"Records of expenditure on food and drink in the 2017-18 financial year, 2018-19 financial year, 2019-20 financial year and 2020-21 financial year."
Our response to your request is as follows: To provide advice and assistance, the Department would note that the majority of the above expenditure on food and drink relates to the Prison, Custody and Court Cells and the provision of food and drink to detainees. In addition, food and drink for those accommodated in the Department’s Community Rehabilitation Centre Accommodation. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, the Department of Home Affairs is not required to undertake substantial compilation or collation of information and therefore records of food and drink, where reclaimed via individual expense claim forms, are not included in the above totals. Please quote the reference number 2050166 in any future communications.
