In the recent meeting with the UK parliament the Chief Minister implied that no-one from the Isle of Man Government had been invited to the UN COP26 global summits in Milan and Glasgow. How many employees/roles from what departments were (a) officially invited to attend (b) agreed to attend with official travel expenses (c) decided to attend self-funded with or without professional development leave or annual leave and equally how many employees/roles are due to attend what events (a) the official global summit (b) any other unofficial events split into unofficial events firstly with and secondly without an Isle of Man connection?

We write further to your request which was received on 21st September 2021 and which states:
"In the recent meeting with the UK parliament the Chief Minister implied that no-one from the Isle of Man Government had been invited to the UN COP26 global summits in Milan and Glasgow. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Department does not hold or cannot find the information that you have requested. No members of staff from the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture have been invited to attend the UN COP26 or any of the associated events.
