Hi, To date (15.09.21) there are 48 covid deaths recorded in the Isle of Man. Please can you confirm how many of these deaths were when Covid-19 was considered the underlying cause of death. Can you please also confirm how many other pre-existing conditions each person who died from Covid-19 had and what these conditions were? Finally can you please provide the ages of all of the Covid deaths.

This request is being handled under the Freedom of Information Act 2015.
We write further to your request which was received on 15th September 2021 and which states:
"Hi, To date (15.09.21) there are 48 covid deaths recorded in the Isle of Man. Please can you confirm how many of these deaths were when Covid-19 was considered the underlying cause of death. Can you please also confirm how many other pre-existing conditions each person who died from Covid-19 had and what these conditions were? Finally can you please provide the ages of all of the Covid deaths."
Our Response Complying with the request for information would require the public authority to do one or more of the matters mentioned in section 8(3) (things a public authority is not required to do by the Act S11(3)(b). While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance, complying with your request for information would require us to create or derive information from information that we hold. We do not hold death certificates and a response would require accessing the health records of the deceased for underlying health conditions.
