We write further to your request which was received 9 September 2021 and which states:
"Following the establishment of Manx Care earlier this year, please can you confirm how many medical doctors remain employed directly by the Department of Health and Social Care"
On 28 September 2021, you further clarified that you required the figures for doctors that hold registration with a licence to practice with the General Medical Council (GMC) and doctors that are not practicing medicine but hold registration without a licence with the GMC. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, under section 20 of the Act, we are not required to provide information in response to a request if it is already reasonably accessible to you, whether free of charge or on payment of a fee. All of the information that you have requested is available from team structure charts publicly available on the DHSC website and Medical Doctor registration and licence information publicly available on the General Medical Council (GMC) website. To provide advice and assistance, the Department the Department of Health and Social Care redesigned on 1 April 2021 as a direct result of Sir Jonathan Michael's Independent Review of the Isle of Manx Health and Care System. The Department employs one medical doctor who is registered with the GMC with a licence to practice. Please quote the reference number 1986084 in any future communications.
