Around 9am - 10am on the 31st August 2021 officers of Sothern Neighbourhood Policing Team conducted speed checks on the A5 Castletown road in Castletown. On 1st September at 18:33on the SNPT Facebook site a post disclosed that 3 people had been issued with fixed penalties and 5 people had been warned about their speed. In each of these 8 cases I would like to know the speed recorded and the outcome for the driver: eg: 38mph - warning 39mph - warning 40mph - Fixed penalty The relevant information should be readily available from the pocket books of the offices present.

We write further to your request which was received on 7 September 2021 and which states:
"Around 9am - 10am on the 31st August 2021 officers of Sothern Neighbourhood Policing Team conducted speed checks on the A5 Castletown road in Castletown. Our response to your request is as follows: I have detailed below the information that is being released to you.
Officers have some discretion when dealing with all matters and this is also the case when it comes to speeding matters. Endorsable Fixed Penalty Notices (EFPN) were as follows. 40mph at 293m – EFPN issued. 39mph at 257m – EFPN issued. 38mph at 263m – EFPN issued. The 5 warnings issued were at the following speeds. 2 x 35 mph 2 x 36 mph 1 x 37 mph
