We write further to your request which was received on 30th August 2021 and which states:
"Pls provide the prescription levels of Remdesivir for the past 11 years from Jan2010 to Aug2021. Pls provide a weekly or Monthly breakdown. Thx"
And, after further clarification sought: “1. how many patients have had it and when(week/month/yr)? 2. how much we have given out in total? 3. how much it costs per dose? 4. What size is considered a normal doses?” Our Response 1. How many patients have had [Remdesivir] and when(week/month/yr)? 2. How much [Remdesivir] has been given out in total? Please note, the stock is issued as ward stock, so exact patient numbers are not readily available. 3. How much does [Remdesivir] cost per dose? While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, we cannot in this case as a “practical refusal reason” applies: complying with this request for information would require the public authority to do one or more of the matters mentioned in section 8(3)(b) (things a public authority is not required to do by the Act S11(3)(b), in this instance, it would require us to create or derive information from information that we hold. 4. What size is considered a normal dose [of Remdesivir]? While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance Manx Care is unable to provide the information that you have requested. This is in line with Section 11(3)a of the Act, as a practical refusal reason applies; namely we do not hold the information that you have requested. Please quote the reference number 1968394 in any future communications.
