We write further to your request which was received on 30 August 2021 and which states:

"In relation to speed limit changes: 1. How many speed limits have changed during the course of 2021 2. Please state the changes which occurred in each instance 3. Please provide links to the Orders in Tynwald where these changes occurred as required under Section 23 of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1985 4. Please supply any data and facts that were used in submitting the order to Tynwald"

In response to your request: 1. 2 2. 30 mph speed limits were implemented on the A24 Foxdale Road, Eairy and in the Jurby Industrial Estate 3. https://www.tynwald.org.im/links/tls/SD/Pages/default.aspx 4. Appendix 1 Following procedure as required under section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1985 the details of the Orders were advertised in the paper twice -
(a) Advert Proposal with a two week (14 days) objection period (Appendix 1) (b) the Orders were progressed for signature following the objection period (c) Recommendation Paper prepared (Appendix 1) (d) following signature and receipt of an operational date (e) Advert Has Made (Appendix 1) (f) The Orders are emailed to Tynwald Library and distributed to various parties. The original Orders sent to the Public Records Office. Please quote the reference number 1967993 in any future communications. Your right to request a review
