We write further to your request which was received on 2 August 2021 and which states (sic):

"Please provide me with any documents relating to the proposed resurfacing of Ballacollister Road, Laxey, alongside the reasoning/ correspondence which relates to why the works did not go ahead as planned. There was a sign stating that works were to commence on 23rd July, but the sign was removed on 22nd July without any explanation, and the works were not undertaken."

Our response to your request is as follows: The proposed Traffic Management Plan for the Ballacollister Road resurfacing was rejected meaning the works could not commence. A revised layout has been submitted and approved with the works now planned to be carried out at a date yet to be confirmed. The residents have been informed of the delay in progressing these works. Attached in Appendix 1 is the Traffic Management Plan that was rejected by the Traffic and Safety Manager. Please quote the reference number 1933089 in any future communications.
