How many IOM resident persons have been admitted to Nobles Hospital in each of the last 5 calendar years who have on admission or subsequently on diagnosis been diagnosed as having had a Brain Haemorrhage or Brain Aneurysm, broken down by the following: * Age (ranges) * Gender * The number transferred to the Walton Centre for specialist treatment etc. * Have died within the following timescales: * <24 hours * >24 hours - 1 week * >1 week - 1 month Provide the ratio of the total number of diagnoses per head of IOM population, and compare with the same ratio for England & Wales. Of those patients transferred to the Walton Centre, how many: * Died there * Stayed there for the following timescales: * <1week * 1 week - 1 month * 1 month - 3 months * 3 months - 6 months * >6 months

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Department of Health and Social Care ('the Department') is unable to provide the

information that you have requested. This is in line with Section 11(3)a of the Act, as a practical refusal reason applies; namely we do not hold or cannot, after taking reasonable steps to do so, find the information that you have requested. To provide advice and assistance, The Department of Health and Social Care redesigned on 1 April 2021 as a direct result of Sir Jonathan Michael’s Independent Review of the Isle of Manx Health and Care System. This Review continues to be a catalyst for change and improved service provision. The redesigned DHSC ensures the separation between the setting of policy and strategy and the delivery of services by Manx Care.
