We write further to your request which was received on 2 June 2021 and which states:

"1 How many patients were discharged on Friday, 28th May 2021(bank holiday weekend); Friday, 21st May 2021; 14th May 2021 and 7th May 2021. 2 Please provide a copy of the Hospital Discharge Policy. 3 Please provide details of how many audits have been carried out over the last 12 months (1st May 2020 to 31 May 2021) in regard to Hospital Discharges and the adherence the Discharge Policy."

Our response to your request is as follows: 1. How many patients were discharged on Friday, 28th May 2021 (bank holiday weekend); Friday, 21st May 2021; 14th May 2021 and 7th May 2021. Please provide a copy of the Hospital Discharge Policy. Appendix 1 is the current policy on file which was written in 2014. The document that will supersede this policy has recently returned from the policy group and will be launched after a further review. Appendix 2 is the Patient Discharge Planning Tool Jun, written in 2019. 3. Please provide details of how many audits have been carried out over the last 12 months (1st May 2020 to 31 May 2021) in regard to Hospital Discharges and the adherence the Discharge Policy. DHSC/Manx Care (post 01.04.2021) have not conducted any audits within this time frame regarding Hospital Discharges and adherence to the Discharge Policy attached. Please quote the reference number 1821533 in any future communications.
