This request is being handled under the Freedom of Information Act 2015.

We write further to your request which was received on 27 May 2021 and which states:

"How many hospital admissions have there been attributed to adverse effects of vaccination for COVID-19 (SARS-COV-2) in 2020 / 2021?"

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance, complying with your request for information would require Manx Care to undertake substantial compilation or collation of information that it holds, which Manx Care is not required to do under section 11(3)(b) of the Act. However, Manx Care commenced the full coding of finished consultant episodes from 1st April 2021 and can confirm 4 admissions coded as “COVID-19 Vaccines causing adverse effects in therapeutic use”. Coding of finished consultant episodes prior to this time has not been completed and so is not included in this response
