Original Request
On Monday 17 May, the Department of Infrastructure issued a press release saying, in part: "The effects of climate change mean that rainfall and flash floods have increased, and will continue to do so..." You published this press release online here: https://www.gov.im//news/2021/may/17/richmond-hill-drainage-project-to-improve-safety/ I request a copy of all records held by the Department of Infrastructure supporting the claim in the above quote about the past increase in rainfall and flash floods. This is likely to be in the form of records of rainfall and/or flash floods, for either the Isle of Man as a whole, or Richmond Hill (or the Mount Murray-Douglas area) in particular. I also request a copy of all records held by the Department of Infrastructure of forward-looking scientific records making predictions that rainfall and flash floods will continue to increase in the future. Please provide such records for either the Isle of Man as a whole, or Richmond Hill (or the Mount Murray-Douglas area) in particular. Thanks in advance.
