Our response to your request is as follows: We can confirm that the total employee headcount on a FTE basis for the Departments, Boards and Offices of Government on the requested dates, was as follows: 31 March 2016 7280.8 31 March 2021 7705.3 In order to put the increase into context, please see attached summary which provides details of additional roles created since 2016 which have contributed to the overall increase of 424.4 FTE.
