Original Request

I seek the publication of all documentation relating to the tender process undertaken by the department in 2019 for the radio broadcasting of the TT and all other associated events. This includes who submitted tenders, which was the preferred tender and whether that tender has been awarded in light of the cancelled events.

Subsequently, on 16th March 2020, the 2020 TT Races was cancelled due to the global pandemic. On 4th May 2020, the 2020 Classic TT and Manx Grand Prix were cancelled. On 30th November 2020 the 2021 TT Races was cancelled and on the 10th March 2021 the Classic TT and Manx Grand Prix were cancelled. As a result, no contract award has or will be made under this procurement process.

The Department is currently evaluating its plans for the provision of Radio Broadcast Services and will shortly be making its recommendation for the future provision of the services to its political members for consideration.
