Freedom of Information Act 2015 Hi could I please information on how many initial child protection meetings felt that the children trying to be placed on the child protection register did not meet the criteria each year from 2009-2021. Could I have the answer in years please. E.g in 2009 total of children who social services tried to place on the child protection register but the CP meeting felt they did not meet the criteria, therefore were not placed on the register. 2010 2011 And so on.

We write further to your request which was received 3 May 2021 and which states:

"Freedom of Information Act 2015 , Hi could I please information on how many initial child protection meetings felt that the children trying to be placed on the child protection register did not meet the criteria each year from 2009-2021. Could I have the answer in years please. E.g in 2009 total of children who social services tried to place on the child protection register but the CP meeting felt they did not meet the criteria, therefore were not placed on the register. 2010 , 2011 ,And so on." Our Response: While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the public authority does not hold or cannot, after taking reasonable steps to do so, find the information that you have requested. This is in line with section 11(3)a of the Freedom of Information Act 2015 (FOIA) as a practical refusal reason applies; namely we do not hold or cannot, after taking reasonable steps to do so, find the information that you have requested. To provide advice and assistance, as from 1st April 2021, ‘Children’s Social Care’ falls under the operational delivery and responsibility of Manx Care. You may wish to re-submit your request to Manx Care, which is an option available on the Freedom of Information request portal, who will process your request accordingly.
