We write further to your request which was received on 27 April 2021 and which states:
"Since 27th January 2021 1. How many arrests have there been for breaches of COVID Regulations? 2. How many Fixed Penalty Notices have been issued for breaches of COVID Regulations? Since 1st March 2020 1. How many serving police officers have been a) cautioned and b) issued Fixed Penalty Notices for breaches of COVID Regulations?"
Our response to your request is as follows: I have detailed below the information that is being released to you. Between 27th January 2021 and 4th May 2021: 1. There have been 57 detentions recorded where at least one of the arrest reasons was for a COVID-19 offence. 2. There have been 11 Fixed Penalty Notices issued for breaches of COVID Regulations. Between 1st March 2020 and 4th May 2021: 1. No serving police officers have either been a) cautioned or b) issued Fixed Penalty Notices for breaches of COVID Regulations. Please quote the reference number 1765426 in any future communications.
