To further clarify, I've found the following in the Interim Housing Needs Study: "The
definition of affordable housing on the Isle of Man is all types of domestic housing,

Dear ###

We write further to your request which was received on 18 March 2021 and which states (sic):

"Would you be kind enough to advise how many affordable housing units were delivered by the department or it's agents during the calendar year 2020? Clarification received: I mean affordable housing units that are provided within the definition below: By delivered I mean newly made available to eligible applicants within the calendar year 2020 To further clarify, I've found the following in the Interim Housing Needs Study: "The definition of affordable housing on the Isle of Man is all types of domestic housing, whether rented or for purchase, which is publicly funded or subsidised by the public purse""

Our response to your request: In the calendar year 2020, there were 15 affordable housing units newly made available to eligible applicants for public sector housing or first time buyers by the Department of Infrastructure or its agents. This figure does not include any affordable housing units that were already part of the Department’s public sector housing stock or that of other local housing authorities. Neither does it include any first time buyer properties that were not new-build when sold to first time buyers during that time period.
