Dear ###

We write further to your request which was received on 25 February 2021 and which states:

"Please supply the number of Road Traffic Accidents that have occured over the past 10 years on: 1 - the Mountain Road 2 - the Marine Drive Both sets of figures should exclude any Road Traffic Accidents that occurred during TT fortnight or "MGP" fortnight."

Section 4(1) of the Freedom of Information Act states that the Act applies only in relation to information created on or after 11th October 2011. However on this occasion, because the earliest collision data that we hold is from 1st January 2015 (with the latest up-to-date figures from 31st December 2020), we have included everything within those dates. The following figures provide the number of collisions that have occurred on 1) Mountain Road and 2) Marine Drive. The figures show the number of injury collisions at each location and not damage only incidents. All recorded collisions within the TT and MGP fortnights have been removed. 1) 96 injury collisions on the Mountain Road. 2) 2 injury collisions on Marine Drive. Please quote the reference number 1686853 in any future communications.
