Original Request
Under the Public Health Act 1990 it is a statutory requirement for health practitioners/clinicians suspecting any infectious disease to notify the Public Health Directorate. This data is freely published in the UK so there are no Data Protection ground to deny my request for the anonymised data. As SARS is a notifiable disease and Coronavirus is SARS-CoV-2 then I fully expect the notifications of COVID-19 to be included in the statistics and it would be advisable to position these notifications in a category of their own. Clarification sought: In order to identify and locate the information that you have asked for we need some further information from you. In particular, it would be helpful if you could be more specific, please can you clarify what your question(s) is regarding the statistics? Clarification received: Please provide statistics broken down by year and disease for the years 2015- January 2021 to include all notified infectious diseases on the Isle of Man. Please segregate COVID-19 from other forms of SARS and include them in the statistics.
