We write further to your request which was received on 7 December 2020 and which states:

"How many dog handlers in the current dog unit, have the relevant and up to date qualification to handle a drug detection dog."

Our response to your request is as follows: I have detailed below the information that is being released to you. The current level is 2 with a view to grow to 3 in the 2021. All dog training is currently undertaken on-Island due to covid restrictions and is done in accordance with ACPO guidelines. Please quote the reference number 1590625 in any future communications.
