Dear ###

We write further to your request which was received on 11 August 2020 and our response of 21 August. Having been advised that the way we account for expenditure has now changed and from this financial year we will are now able to drill down better into what has been spent and where. We are therefore able to send the following amended response.

"I seek the publication of the total income and expenditure of each government owned and/or operated marina in the past three financial years up until April 2020."

The income generated from Peel Marina pontoons is as follows:- Financial year Income from annual leases Income from short term leases Pontoon discounts Total income 2017/18 £111,926.96 £5,809.31 £20,174.16 £97,562.11 2018/19 £108,772.56 £10,809.01 £17,451.51 £102,130.06 2019/20 £119,029.91 £6,908.35 £29,683.50 £96,254.76 The income generated from Douglas Marina pontoons is as follows:- Financial year Income from annual leases Income from short term leases Pontoon discounts Total income 2017/18 £97,950.73 £5,321.44 £9,681.46 £93,590.71 2018/19 £100,968.45 £8,268.40 £7,276.48 £101,960.37 2019/20 £116,494.24 £5,628.45 £5,544.00 £116,578.69 The above figures exclude income from the wall berths, which is held in a general account along with wall berth income from all of the harbours. It is not possible to separate out the income specific to Peel and Douglas wall berths. Expenditure Our aim is to provide information whenever possible. However, in this instance, the information you have requested is not held by the Department of Infrastructure for the purposes of the Act because expenditure for Harbours Division as a whole was for the period up until March 2020 accounted for all eight harbours together, rather than

being broken down. It would not be possible to quantify the expenditure for an individual harbour or marina, for example the Department purchases supplies such as sodium hypochlorite for multiple harbours in bulk to save costs.
