We write further to your request which was received on 3rd August 2020 and which states:
"Please could you provide a list of registered hmos in the Isle of Man including property address/landlord address/number of bedrooms/date license granted?"
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, under section 20 of the Act, we are not required to provide information in response to a request if it is already reasonably accessible to you, whether free of charge or on payment of a fee. Under section 4 of the Housing (Registration) Regulations 2013 (linked below) the information that you have requested is available from the registration authorities (the local authorities). While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Department does not hold the information that you have requested.
Further information
The Environmental Health Unit of DEFA carry out the inspections of Houses of Multiple Occupancy HMO) on behalf of Local authorities and so the details of those HMO’s may be held by the various local authorities and so you will need to log new Freedom of Information requests with them to ask for this information.
