"Is any of this guidance followed? https://www.college.police.uk/What-we- do/Standards/Guidelines/Documents/Conflict_management_consultation260219.pdf Thank you."

Our response to your request is as follows: I have detailed below the information that is being released to you. This document appears to be a consultative document which the College of Policing has put out for Consultation. It is not yet policy and may, following feedback, be altered and changed prior to it being adopted. At that stage the Constabulary may consider the use of the guidance documents as a basis to adapt it's existing training regime. The Constabulary conducts Personal Safety Training and elements of this consultation document are included in the initial training for New Recruits and for mandatory training. The annual CPD ensures that some elements are included every year and other aspects every few years. The Constabulary refers to the National Decision Making Model throughout its training and does teach the communication strategies featured in the document. The Constabulary adopts a values and behaviours approach to Policing which centres around: Professionalism, Service, Respect, Caring, Responsibility and Challenge. Please quote the reference number 1317209 in any future communications.
