We write further to your request which was received on 29 May 2020 and which states:
"Short-term radio broadcasting licences can be accommodated under the "Restricted Service Licence" (RSL) scheme, overseen by OfCom and the Communications Commission. How many such licences have been granted in the last two years and to whom?"
Our response to your request is as follows: I have detailed below the information that
is being released to you.
SRSL’s were cleared by Ofcom for Manx Radio for the following dates and number of
locations.
TT 2018 – Radio TT (also on 1368kHz AM)
Broadcast Dates: Friday 25th May to Sunday 10th June inclusive
Broadcast Times: 24 hours/day
4 locations.
S100 2018 (also on other Manx Radio frequencies at times, depending on programme
obligations)
Broadcast Dates: Monday 9th July to Thursday 12th July inclusive Broadcast Times: Adjusted to suit race/practice programme 1 location.
Classic TT & MGP Festival 2017 (also on 1368kHz AM)
Broadcast Dates: Thursday 23rd August to Saturday 1st September inclusive Broadcast Times: 24 hours/day 3 locations.
2019 1/ TT 2019 – Radio TT (also on 1368kHz AM) Broadcast Dates: Friday 24th May to Sunday 9th June inclusive Broadcast Times: 24 hours/day 4 locations. 2/ S100 2019 (also on other Manx Radio frequencies at times, depending on programme obligations)
