We write further to your request which was received on the 25th March 2020 and states:
“Regarding the types of technologies currently used in both adult and children's Diabetes Services please provide the following: Question 1: The number of patients using an insulin pump? Question 2: The number of patients with Type 1 Diabetes registered at the Diabetes Centre?”
Our response to your request is as follows: Question 1: The number of patients using an insulin pump? There are currently 72 adults using an insulin pump and 36 children. Question 2: The number of patients with Type 1 Diabetes registered at the Diabetes Centre? There are currently 393 adults registered with the Diabetes Centre with Type 1 Diabetes. Children with Diabetes are registered with the Paediatric Department until they transition to the Diabetes Centre at age 16. There are currently 44 children who are Type 1 Diabetic.
