Dear ###

I write further to your request which was received on 8 March 2020 which states:

“How much is received from road tax licenses”

Response While it is always our aim to provide information whenever possible, section 11 of the Freedom of Information Act 2015 (“the Act”) makes provision for public authorities to refuse to give an applicant the information they requested on the grounds that the information is qualified exempt information. In this instance under section 11(3) (a) of the Act we are refusing your application on the grounds that a practical refusal applies, namely that the Treasury does not hold or cannot, after taking reasonable steps, find the information that you requested. I can advise you that Vehicle Licencing is part of the Department of Infrastructure which is also a public authority under the Act. You may wish to resubmit your request to that public authority where it will be considered accordingly. The online portal for making a request is found at: https://www.gov.im/about-the-government/freedom-of-information/make-a-freedom- of-information-request/
