Dear ###

We write further to your request which was received on 27 February 2020 and which states (sic) (numbered for ease of reference):

"1. What has been the total cost of the Connect Villages Scheme from when it was introduced to date? 2. How many passengers have been carried by the Connect Villages buses under the Scheme referred to, to date? 3. How much in total has been paid by the passengers referred to for travelling on the buses?" 1. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Department does not record the running costs of the connectVILLAGES service separately from general Mini Bus Operations. 2. 20,058 passengers have been carried by the connectVILLAGES since December 2018. 3. £12,045.50 has been collected, from 7065 passengers, in fares on this service.
However it is important to note that over 2,300 journeys have been made using prepaid tickets for which revenue is not allocated to a particular route; in addition, over 10,500 journeys have been made by concessionary fare card holders, for which no revenue can be attributed. Please quote the reference number 1203549 in any future communications.
