We write further to your request which was received on 4th February 2020 and which states:

"What budget has been provided for the new inspector to examine HGV vechicle. To include all costs for example the provision of a vechicle and admin support"

Our response to your request is as follows: I have detailed below the information that is being released to you. 1. What budget has been provided for the new inspector to examine HGV vehicle? There was no additional budget provided from Treasury for the new Goods Vehicle (GV) Inspector. The 2019/20 budget for the RTLC can be found within the “Pink Book” here https://www.gov.im/media/1364400/2019-20-pink-book.pdf 2. To include all costs for example the provision of a vehicle and admin support. There will be no vehicle provided for the GV Inspector and the only cost is the salary associated with the hours of work which is 20hrs per month. This post will be paid at no more than £6,000 per year including National Insurance and Superannuation. There have been no additional administration staff employed by the RTLC to support the new GV legislation that was passed in Tynwald in July 2018. Further information The costs of the GV Inspector will be covered by fee income associated with the new GV regulatory regime.
