We write further to your request which was received on 28 January 2020 and which states:

"I seek the publication of all MHK expenses paid between January 1 2019 and December 31 2019 for off-island trips, I'd like a breakdown of each claim made and granted."

Our response to your request is as follows: Information on remuneration and allowances for Tynwald Members is available on the Tynwald website: http://www.tynwald.org.im/memoff/remall/ This includes the expenditure on every off-Island parliamentary trip since October 2016, broken down into travel, accommodation and other. Enclosed is a PDF with an itemisation of expenses claimed via an expenses claim form by MHKs paid between the dates January 2019 and December 2019 for off-Island parliamentary trips. Please be aware that the figures in the enclosed PDF will not match the figures for “travel”, “accommodation” and “other” expenses shown on the website. This is because the figures on the website include expenditure which did not involve the use of a claim form.

The detailed costs of off-Island trips by MHKs on non-parliamentary business are not held by the Office of the Clerk of Tynwald.
