We write further to your request which was received on 14 January 2020 and which states:
"I would like to know on average the amount of days tutors have been absent in the last year. (1 January 2019 - 31 December 2019). If these dates are not possible, the latest full year that you obtain records for. Also I would like to know on average the attendance that tutors attended the last year as a percentage (1 January 2019 - 31 December 2019). If these dates are not possible, the latest full year that you obtain records for. Thank you"
In order to identify and locate the information that you asked for, we needed to clarify if the request was for all UCM tutors and if "attendance that tutors attended the last year as a percentage" was the number of days the tutors attended work at UCM presented as a percentage. You advised: For all tutors and regarding the percentage, for example if they were due to work 100 days of the year, but were absent for 10 days of the year, the attendance rate would therefore be 90%. Our response to your request is as follows: Average amount of absence days The average number of days lecturing staff were absent from University College Isle of Man for the period requested was 7.5 days. Please note this number of absence days is not evenly spread across all lecturing staff as some had no absences at all. Attendance percentage of lecturing staff The average attendance of lecturing staff at University College Isle of Man for the period requested was 96%.
