Dear ###
We write further to your request which was received on 10 January 2020, which states:
"Please provide the Statement of Programme Policy for the current Manx Radio schedule, as implemented in October 2019, and the last Speech Content Assessment. Also can you provide a breakdown of content of a typical 2 hour Breakfast Show broken down by time taken by adverts (including item sponsorship and jingles), time taken by songs and the time left for everything else." While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Communications Commission does not hold or cannot, after taking reasonable steps to do so, find some of the information that you have requested. The Communications Commission does not hold a more detailed breakdown of the programming schedule, but you may wish to contact Manx Radio directly for this information. I have enclosed copies of the Statement of Programme Policy which was introduced in April 2019. However, in October 2019 Manx Radio did update its Programme Schedule and so I have included a copy of this. The latest Manx Radio Annual Report covers the period 2018/19 and contains the speech content assessment. Please see Section 2, called “Programming”. You can access the Annual Report from the Manx Radio website under “About Us”. However, I have printed a copy of this report and enclosed it for you, as I can see you have requested correspondence by post. Please quote the reference number 1128625 in any future communications.
