The Role Health and Care Transformation Director - 2 Year LTA on the staff of the Cabinet Office. Your duties are as outlined in your Job Description for this post.
Place of Work Your normal place of work will be Cabinet Office but in the interest of the service you may be relocated elsewhere on the Isle of Man.
Start Date Your start date in this role will be set out in your Confirmation of Appointment letter which will be issued upon completion of your pre-employment checks and should be read in conjunction with this statement of written particulars.
Continuous Service Your period of continuous service will commence from your start date within this role.
End Date This appointment will be for a limited term of 2 years from the date of commencement. Your last day of service will be set out in your Confirmation of Appointment letter. Please note you will not receive any further written notification of your end date unless your end date is to be changed.
Salary The salary for this post is £125,000 per annum. Your salary would be paid monthly by Bankers Automated Clearing System (BACS) on the 25th day of each month, or the nearest working day prior to the 25th if this falls on a weekend/public holiday. Pay information, including your payslip will be given to you electronically via our self-service HR and Payroll system. In the event of any error leading to an overpayment of salary, the provisions of the Isle of Man Government Financial Regulations will apply.
Hours of Work You will be required to work 37 hours per week. The pattern of attendance will be subject to agreement with your Reporting Officer. Overtime is not available for this role however due to the nature of the role, ability and willingness to work outside normal conditioned hours may be required. This role does not attract additional pay for hours worked in excess of the stipulated hours or for work undertaken at weekends or on public holidays.
Annual Leave Our holiday year runs from 1st April to 31st March and you are entitled to have 30 days leave per annum, this is inclusive of bank holidays.
Sick Leave PSC civil servants may be allowed sick leave in accordance with the following scale: during the first year of service – one months’ full pay and one months’ half pay; during the second year of service – two months’ full pay and two months’ half pay. Your Department will provide you with further information relating to procedures for notification of absence upon commencement in this role.
Maternity/Paternity Leave and Pay There is no entitlement to contractual Maternity/Paternity pay under this agreement. Maternity/Paternity leave will be granted in accordance with any statutory provision.
Smoking Policy You will be expected to comply with the Isle of Man Government Smoking Policy, and for the policy within the building in which you are appointed, in accordance with the Public Health (Tobacco) Act 2006.
Outside Employment Any employment outside of the Department of Economic Development will be subject to the approval of the Accounting Officer in your Department.

Notice Period When an appointment is terminated, unless the member of staff is dismissed on disciplinary grounds or retires on reaching the minimum retirement age, the following minimum periods of notice will be given: By the Department Less than 4 weeks’ continuous service - Nil Between 4 weeks and 4 years’ continuous service - 5 weeks 4 years or more continuous service - 1 week for each year of service, plus one week (up to a max of 13 weeks) 5 By the employee A minimum notice period of 3 months will apply. For the purpose of calculating the last day of service the 3 month period will be treated as 13 weeks (ending on the last working day of a week). Discipline and Grievance Procedures The Discipline and Grievance Procedures for this role are analogous to the PSC Civil Service and are subject to the discipline and grievance procedures and the methods of appeal and redress set out in The PSC Civil Service Regulations 2015.
