We write further to your request which was received on 5 December 2019 and which states (sic):

"Can you provide the information and figures in monetary value of what is generated and plowed back into social housing Clarification: This relates only to Department of Infrastructure social housing for 2018/19 - other Authorities have separate housing for which they are responsible."

1. The Department of Infrastructure collected £5,482,683.28 in rent for 2018/19. 2. Reactive maintenance expenditure (responsive, cyclical and voids [empty properties]) for the same period was £1,536,386.
3. The income also funds the management of the properties and the overall delivery of Island affordable housing. 3. Major investment is delivered as a capital budget item which is not derived from the rents received. The Department’s annual capital budget is determined by Treasury and for 2018/19 was £2,053,017.
