We write further to your request which was received on the 4th December 2019 and states:

"I'd like to know what deficit in money was which resulted in the closure of the private patient ward to close?"

Our response to your request is as follows: Having checked the accounts from 2016/2017 to date, The Private Patients Unit has not accumulated a loss. In order to provide advice and assistance we have attached a link to the closure of the Private Patients Unit (section 15 of the Act). The Private Patient Unit closure was explained on the Isle of Man Government online news release on the 8th October 2018, please see the link:
