Dear ###
We write further to your request received on 2 December 2019 which states:
"1. What do the staff of thee (sic) International Development Division do? 2. How may staff are employed in the International Development Division? 3. How may full-time equivalent staff are employed in the International Development Division? 4. What are the individual Civil Service grades of the staff employed in the International Development Division? 5. On 5 December 2019 we requested further clarification regarding your request; we advised that the Cabinet Office does not have a specific 'International Development Division' and that the administration of the Isle of Man Government's International Development policy falls within the remit of the External Relations team and is undertaken by various members of the team. The External Relations team has functions wider than International Development; more information on these is available online here https://www.gov.im/about-the-government/departments/cabinet- office/external-relations/. We asked if you could provide further clarification on the meaning of 'International Development Division'; for example would you be happy if we responded to with information for the External Relations team? You replied on 5 December 2019 advising that what you are seeking to “…establish is what the total cost is of administering the Isle of Man Government's International Development Fund is i.e how much it’s costing the taxpayers’ of the Island to give away £2.5 a year of their money. In terms of staffing this would be whatever the fte is of the involvement of these staff: External Relations Team The External Relations Team is as follows:
•
Peter Boxer, Executive Director, Crown & External Relations
•
Sam McCauley , Head of External Relations Team
•
Anne Shimmin, External Relations Manager Policy & Legislation
•
Erica Humphries, External Relations Manager
•
Tess Joughin, External Relations Executive Officer
•
James Skelly, External Relations Officer”
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Cabinet
Office does not hold some of the information that you have requested.
The External Relations Team is responsible for the day to day administration of
International Development funding. This is only one part of the team’s broad portfolio
of functions and responsibilities. The amount of time that each member of staff spends
is changeable through the year and the funding cycle. As such, there is no information
held and it is not possible to assign an exact Full Time Equivalent value to the
involvement of any individual members of the Team. The roles within the Team that
are involved with the administration of International Development funding are listed
below:
* External Relations Manager - Higher Executive Officer (HEO) grade
* 2 x External Relations Executive Officer - Executive Officer (EO) Grade
