Dear ###

We write further to your request which was received on 28 November 2019 and which states:

"1. Copies of all emails between the Department and the Christian Institute. 2. Copies of all emails between the Department and the Attorney Generals Chambers that relate to the Christian Institute. The information is requested from 01.08.2019 to the date this FOI is received."

Our response to your request is as follows: Emails between the Department of Education, Sport & Culture and the Christian Institute I have enclosed a total of two emails that are held by the Department. Some of the information including names and email addresses/ telephone numbers within these emails has been redacted because it is absolutely exempt under section 25 (2) (a) and (b) (i) of the Act (absolutely exempt personal information). The reasons why this exemption applies is that: • The Department is satisfied that the information amounts to personal data of which you are not the data subject; and • The Department is satisfied that disclosure of the information would contravene one of the data protection principles as set out at Article 5 of the General Data Protection Regulation as it applies in the Isle of Man pursuant to the Data Protection (Application of GDPR) Order 2018, namely that the Department of Education Sport and Culture can only disclose the information where it would be fair, lawful and meet one of the conditions for lawful processing in Article 6 and in this case, none of those conditions have been met.

Emails between the Department and the Attorney General’s Chambers I have enclosed a total of three emails that are held by the Department. Some of the information including names, email addresses/ telephone numbers and third party information within these emails has been redacted because it is absolutely exempt under section 25 (2) (a) and (b) (i) of the Act (absolutely exempt personal information).
