We write further to your request which was received on 19 November 2019 and which states:

We sought further clarification from you on the 20th November:
In order to identify and locate the information that you have asked for we need some further information from you. In particular, it would be helpful to know with regards to Social Media and costs, does this relate to the operation of Motorsport Social Media channels or Social Media cost across the Department as a whole.

Our response to your request is as follows:
In response to the question posed, the cost for the creation and running of the
iomttraces.com website and the associated social media outlets are as follows, these
are costs incurred up to the website going live in November of 2018 to date:
Website Development Total: £54,906.60 of one off costs, including integration of the
IMuseum database, a press accreditation system and a transcription service for the
radio commentary;
Website Operation Total: £12,303.39, includes hosting cost (through Amazon Web
Services) and the cost of the management contract. On top of this there was an
additional £8,750 spent on the transcription of the race commentary during TT 2019.
Social Media Operation Total: £1,632.69, the cost of software to allow cross platform
posting.
In addition to this, a live timing page has been developed that provides a link between
the Department’s Race Management System and the iomttraces.com website, this
system has cost an additional £59,551.50 in one-off development costs.
A total of £137,144.18 to date for the development and operation of the website as it
stands today.
