Thank you for your email which was received on 8 November 2019 which states:

"Under the FOI Act 2015, I am requesting information on the Governments Investment policy on armaments if one exists and also the figures for government investment in Armaments not pertaining to Pension funds or government reserve investments."

In relation to the first part of your request, I can confirm that the Isle of Man Government does not currently have a specific policy on investment in armaments. The current generic investment policy which the appointed discretionary investment managers adhere to is as follows: In furtherance of the Treasury’s investment objectives the Treasury’s investment managers are required to ensure that decisions on whether to buy, sell or retain investments take into account the reputation and standing of each company in the market place including their social, environmental and ethical conduct. As regards the second segment of your request, I can advise that Treasury has no direct or indirect investments in armaments which pertain to pension funds or government reserve investments. Please quote the reference number 1037461 in any future communications.
