2019 Primary School Attainment and Value Added Data

Summary

The request sought 2018-19 primary school attainment data and instructions on publication for schools that had not released results. The Department of Education, Sport and Culture disclosed Early Years Foundation Stage GLD percentages and Key Stage 1 subject level data for all schools, but did not provide information on KS2 progress or publication instructions.

Original Request

I seek the attainment data (itemised below) for 2018-19 for each primary school that has not published such results (including GLD attainment for Onchan Primary School). Such information should be held by the DESC as a previous FOI response shows that schools are required to forward to the Department pupil attainment data. The data requested is: The percentage of EYFS pupils attaining a GLD; The percentage of KS1 (Year2) pupils achieving Levels 1, 2 and 3+ in each of the core subjects (defined as Reading, Writing, Speaking & Listening, Mathematics and Science); The percentage of KS1 (Year 6) pupils achieving Levels 2, 3, 4 and 5(+) in each of the core subjects (as defined above); Allied to this I further request: Any instructions given to primary schools by the Department in relation to the publication of EYFS, KS1 and KS2 attainment data for the 2018-19 academic year. For those primary schools that measure it the percentage of pupils completing KS2 in 2019 who have achieved MORE than six sub levels of progress from end of KS1 to end of KS2 (2019) together with the cohort size this percentage relates to.
